Subcontract Bid & Tender Writers

Remote | Australia-wide | Project-Based Subcontracting

Join Our Network of Experienced Tender Writers

Biddly is expanding its network of experienced subcontract bid and tender writers to support our growing pipeline of client projects across Australia.

We're looking for hands-on tender writers who can independently develop high-quality responses from tender requirements, technical documents, SME notes, existing information and dot points.

You'll need to be comfortable starting with a blank page, even when no suitable previous tender responses or content-library material is available.

This is a writing-focused opportunity, not a bid management or strategy role. We're looking for experienced writers who can take the information provided, identify genuine gaps and confidently produce strong, evaluator-focused responses.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Writing compelling responses to tenders, RFPs, EOIs and competitive proposals.

  • Turning technical information, source documents and notes into clear, well-structured content.

  • Developing strong first drafts independently, including when previous content is unavailable.

  • Addressing tender requirements and evaluation criteria with benefits-driven, evidence-based responses.

  • Identifying genuine information gaps and flagging them where necessary.

  • Working collaboratively with a Bid Manager while managing your own writing tasks and deadlines.

This role generally does not involve leading SME workshops, conducting stakeholder interviews or managing the overall bid process.

What We're Looking For

Essential experience and skills

  • Demonstrated experience personally writing substantive tender responses.

  • Strong technical writing, grammar and attention to detail.

  • Ability to develop compelling content from limited or incomplete information without relying on templates or previous submissions.

  • Understanding of tender compliance, evaluation criteria and benefits-driven writing.

  • Ability to work independently and remotely with minimal reliance on meetings or SME engagement.

  • Confidence working within strict word limits, page limits and non-negotiable deadlines.

Highly regarded

  • APMP training, certification or familiarity with recognised bid-writing practices.

  • Experience across facilities management, infrastructure, technical services, government, professional services or other B2B sectors.

  • Experience translating complex technical or operational information into clear, persuasive tender responses.

Working With Biddly

This is a remote, project-based subcontracting opportunity, not a permanent employment position.

Work opportunities will vary depending on client requirements and tender schedules.

Our goal is to build ongoing relationships with a small network of reliable, experienced writers who take pride in delivering high-quality work.

Please note: This opportunity is specifically for hands-on tender writers, not bid managers, capture specialists or senior advisors. Bid coordination, tender administration, content-library management, marketing or general copywriting experience alone will not meet the requirements.
